Crazy Cat People | Orlando Lifestyle Photographer

How do you photograph kittens? Chase them around until they are exhausted and fall fast asleep! This was my first kitten photo shoot and I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The kittens were very active and it took a lot to keep up with them-it was pretty much like shooting a sporting event. After about an hour or so of following them around, almost stepping on them as they crawled through my legs and finding their nose right up against my lens…they fell asleep! Bill and Ariel have rescued all of their feline friends and have now deemed themselves “crazy cat people”. Hey…if you are going to be crazy it might as well be over these adorable creatures…

The Beautiful Jimenez Family | Orlando Family Photographer

I adore this family and was so honored when they asked me to take pictures celebrating Matteo’s 6 months in this world. I took Matteo’s newborn pictures and shared with you pictures of Ashlei’s family and the Jimenez family last December. It seems I always forget how fast they grow-I mean Matteo is sitting up, wanting to walk around and certainly does not want to stay in one place too long! So we all made a trip over to Cocoa Beach Pier. It was a beautiful night and we had a great time playing with Matteo on the beach and watching as he decided he wanted to see what sand tasted like. Introducing Tristan | Orlando Newborn Photographer

So, wow, it’s been a week since I have posted. That’s a long time and I have truly missed my little blog! I have been super busy and spent the last weekend in Texas for two photo shoots. A very good friend of mine, Elizabeth Royer and her husband Todd had their very first little bumpkin right before the year 2010 began. Tristan made his debut on December 31st, 2009. Elizabeth had already planned on me traveling to Texas to photograph little Tristan and the soonest I could get there was January 16th, so this adorable little guy was already wide-eyed and ready to explore the world. I spent all day with the new Royer family and got to photograph them in a couple of locations. I have to laugh at the fact that the only time Tristan slept (except a few very brief times during the photo shoot) was the two hour break I took to go eat lunch with some friends I hadn’t seen in four years! He’s ready to find out what this whole thing is all about and I got to capture that…

The Jimenez Family | Orlando Family Photographer

Well Matteo has definitely been the STAR of my blog lately and I am certainly happy about that! Ashlei and I were just talking about how we hadn’t seen each other in three years and have now seen each other twice in the last month. That is something great that photography has brought into my life-new friends and re-kindled old friends! On the day that I shot the Whitehurst family (Ashlei’s family) I also got some great shots of Ashlei’s new little family-her, her husband and little, adorable, precious Matteo!

The Whitehurst Family | Orlando Family Photographer

It was a beautiful day for a family photo shoot. A few weeks ago I did a photo shoot of the new addition to this family, Matteo, and was thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph the entire family. So Kit, Julie, Ian, Ross, Ashlei, Felipe and Matteo all gathered together and weathered the 85 degree December Florida weather. We had a perfect day and the Whitehurst’s have an absolutely beautiful home on the lake in Merritt Island so we had the perfect backdrop for some great family photos. And I absolutely LOVE their adirondack chairs-so cute-as soon as I saw them I knew I had to use them! Matteo’s great-grandma and great-grandpa showed up so we captured a few special memories for them. What a wonderful family and what a fabulous day!
