The University of Central Florida’s Medical School is officially one year old. The first class is getting ready to finish their first year and it is time to usher in the next class of future doctors. Second Look is a very special event that the medical school hosts extending an invitation to their potential students to come back and re-visit the school-take a “second look”, before they make their decision as to where to study. It is my understanding that other medical schools do this too, but not like UCF! The prospective students are invited back to take part in discussions, meet the Dean, visit a local hospital, meet with doctors and residents, chat with first-year students, go to Epcot, watch a spectacular firework show and to top it off this visit included a first ever tour of the brand new UCF College of Medicine located in Lake Nona. I felt honored to be capturing the anticipation, excitement and intensity of the two day event. These students are full of hope, eagerness and a special desire…and they are already joking about their “bad penmanship!” Meet the potential 2nd Class of the UCF College of Medicine. I wish them the best on their journey…

April 30, 2010A Very Special Traveling Tuesdays
April 27, 2010On this day five years ago Jonathan and I made a little trip to Las Vegas, got in a helicopter, flew over the strip and got married.
Traveling Tuesdays: with the Roots
April 20, 2010Back in 2006 the Roots took a little trip to North Carolina to visit Jonathan’s aunt and uncle. We were so close to the South Carolina border we couldn’t resist…
Second Look 2010: A Sneak Peek | Orlando Event Photographer
April 19, 2010The University of Central Florida College of Medicine held it’s Second Look 2010 event this past weekend. Future med students are invited back to take a “Second Look” at the UCF College of Medicine before they make their decision as to where they would like to study. It was an amazing event and I cannot wait to share more of it with you, but for now I thought I would leave you with this lesson I learned…laughter is ALWAYS the best medicine!
Traveling Tuesdays: with the Roots
April 13, 2010Ok so this Traveling Tuesday is a little bit different-we were actually minus one Root (Jonathan, who was working on a cruise ship doing his own traveling) and we were plus two Cooks (my parents visiting from Texas) and one Flores (my friend Sandra visiting from Texas also!) We all decided to take a very short road trip and go check out the town of Celebration. As long as I have lived in Florida I had still not made it to Celebration and after visiting I cannot believe it took me so long. What a beautiful location for a photo shoot-I can’t wait to do one there. We decided to snap a few shots of ourselves while we walked around this little storybook city…

Senior Portrait Special: It’s All About YOU
April 5, 2010Linda & Angel: Married | Orlando Wedding Photographer
April 2, 2010Linda and Angel were married on March 13th and I was able to share a little sneak peek and have been excited to post the rest of their story. I have known Linda for a little over a year now and have worked with her on several occasions. It was wonderful to be able to share this day with her, meet her most amazing friends and her beautiful family. This day was even more special to Linda because shortly after Linda and Angel said their vows and were married, Linda’s Mother and Father renewed their wedding vows. The ceremony was held at the Kraft Azalea Garden in Winter Park. It was a beautiful, breezy and little bit of a chilly day.As soon as I arrived I was struck by the peacefulness and tranquility-there were a few couples walking around and an artist sketching on his easel and I thought to myself, “What could be more perfect.” Here is the rest of their story…
Traveling Tuesdays: with the Roots
March 23, 2010Another dream travel location for the Roots is most definitely Norway! My Grandma Cook is 1/2 Norwegian (or something like that) so that makes me somewhat close to 1/8th Norwegian (or something like that) so I think that is good enough reason to go to Norway, don’t you?
My next dream travel location will be another country of my heritage…

March 18, 2010This is definitely the largest “sneak peek” I have ever done…but, I just can’t help myself.
Traveling Tuesdays: with the Roots
March 16, 2010It has been exciting to be able to share our travels every Tuesday and every Tuesday I realize I have been very fortunate to be able to go to all of the places I have been. I have to keep reminding myself of that when I get bummed out that I haven’t been anywhere since last August! Then I look at all of the pictures of all of the places and all is ok. One of those places that we have been to several times is Key West. We’ve never driven there (I think it’s an 8 hour drive from Orlando) but we have been there on numerous times by ship. To me Key West is storybook quaint and peaceful (I’m sure some Spring Breakers might disagree) but that is what it is to me. This is one of our trips a few years ago with a stop in storybook Key West…
